About

The Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) program is one of the University of Northern Iowa's TRiO programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education. UBMS provides academic enrichment, retention services, post-secondary preparation, and a summer residential program to low-income and first-generation students. The goal of the program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science.

UBMS aims to provide services that respect the diversity of student needs, while supporting and increasing their competitiveness and readiness for post-secondary careers.
