Dr. Jitu and Harshida Kothari Family STEM Program

Dr. Jitu Kothari served as physician for UNI Athletics from 1981 until his passing in 2003. In 2022, The Kothari Family STEM Program was established to help support low-income and first-generation students in UNI Upward Bound Math & Science program be successful in their future STEM education and career endeavors. Through very generous contributions and support, UNI Upward Bound Math and Science was able to add seven additional participants spots to the program, as well as offer a scholarship program to support UNI-UBMS Scholars who attend UNI and continue to show academic excellence. The UNI-UBMS program is immensely grateful for this partnership and ability to provide educational support to these scholars.
